Dec. 1-3: Wild and Scenic River Management Workshop for the Green River in Utah: Implementing the Dingell Act

The workshop is open to BLM ID Team members, contractors, and support staff working with the management units to create the Comprehensive River Management Plan for the Wild and Scenic Green River in Utah.

Outcomes:

1. Increase participants’ knowledge of:

  • Management and protection requirements of the Wild and Scenic Rivers Act (Act)
  • Methods to determine/refine outstandingly remarkable values (ORVs)
  • Development of a Comprehensive River Management Plan (CRMP)

2. Develop segment-specific ORV statements to guide management action

3. Identify issues, stakeholders, and management opportunities

Participant's Pre-work:

To achieve the workshop objectives, it is important that each participant reviews the web-based BLM Wild and Scenic River Course of Study, Module #6.
