DOI Talent and Professional Training Available at RMS Symposium

The RMS Symposium Wild, Scenic and Beyond! in Vancouver, Washington program includes professional training opportunities for attendees. The sessions listed below are approved for DOI Talent, the new system in process to replace DOI Learn. Individuals who attend the approved training sessions will be able to collect registration credits when DOI Talent is activated in November 2018. Click on the links to view session descriptions.

DOI Talent Trainings:

In addition, learning credits for select sessions through a partnership with American Trails for the following:

  • American Planning Association (APA)* – Certification Maintenance (CM) credits
  • American Society of Landscape Architects (ASLA) 
  • National Recreation and Park Association (NRPA) – Sessions are eligible for CEU equivalency petition for park professionals.

*APA – AICP CM credits for the Transportation Projects in Wild and Scenic Rivers sessions are provided directly by the American Planning Association.

To secure continuing education credits at the Symposium, individuals may sign up on site for a small fee: $20 for RMS members and $30 for non-members. 

After each session for which credits are sought, attendees will need to

  • Fill out an evaluation survey after a session and 
  • Have their learning credits form initialed by a room host. 

A certificate will be mailed to attendees requesting learning credits by mid-November, 2018. Learning credits are listed in the Symposium Program in red font at the end of the sessions to which they apply.
