March 9 Conversation: States and Local vs. Federal River Management / Guidance – How have they resembled each other or not?

Join the River Management Roundtable!

Tuesday, March 9 from 3:30 - 4:30 ET

Register

This month's conversation is about how local, state and federal river managers respond to these questions:

  • What do local or state-based and federal river managers love, or not love about working with each other?
  • What do partners and outfitters love about working with federal and state oversight or administering agencies, and not?

Panelists  will be Dave Schade - Alaska Director of Agriculture; Liz Lacy -  River Manager on West Branch and Lower Farmington, Salmon Brook and Westfield Partnership Wild and Scenic Rivers; and David Brown – Executive Director, Tennessee Paddlesports Association.  We’ll learn their perspectives and hope to hear about yours, as well. This meetup is free and open to all.

What’s in a name? We will share the news! Tuesday, March 9, 2021 we will host our next State River Programs Working Group Conversation and share the winner of the revised group name which we hope will support the openness of our discussions to all river professionals!

About the River Management Roundtable
Each month, the River Management Society hosts virtual conversations with professional river, greenway, and water trails leaders, planners, and managers whose community, region, state and federal river will benefit from the experiences of peer-to-peer sharing. Our goal is to facilitate an open forum to support your work managing rivers. We work together to tackle common issues by asking questions, sharing solutions and building comradery. These conversations are free and open to members and non-members on the second Tuesday of the month from 3:30 - 4:30 p.m. ET.
