Midwest Chapter Float + Dinners with RMS Board and Staff

Gather with the River Management Society Board of Directors in St. Louis, Missouri as their annual in-person meeting concludes. We will make sure visitors to the "Gateway to the West" are able to meet both local river partners and the mighty Mississippi, up close and personal! Board members, use the registration form below to sign up for the whole weekend. Midwest Chapter members and friends, use the form below to sign up for dinner Saturday, paddling on Sunday morning, and dinner Sunday evening. 

Weekend Itinerary

  • Paddling in Forest Park. Courtesy of Big Muddy Adventures.Thursday, Oct. 1: Board members and staff arrive

  • Friday, Oct. 2: RMS Board sees St. Louis courtesy of board member Chris Geden and RMS member Emily Hite. The board and staff will participate in a guided tour on the Mississippi River where we'll paddling to Port of St. Louis. Lunch will be provided.

  • Saturday, Oct. 3: Board meeting, then Midwest Chapter Dinner at 6:00 p.m. Midwest Chapter members and friends are welcome to join the RMS Board and staff! Together we'll cook up dinner and share suggestions for an awesome MW Chapter and national trajectory. Dinner will take place in St. Louis proper, and the specific location will be provided to registrants in mid-September.

  • Sunday, Oct. 4: Morning Board meeting wrap-up. Members and friends are invited to join us for a free Sunday morning lake paddling excursion. If you plan to join us, please sign up in the registration form below. We'll meet at the boathouse in Forest Park at 11 a.m. Attendees will choose from standup paddleboards, kayaks, canoes and pedal boats, courtesy of Big Muddy Adventures and River City Foundation. After paddling and before dinner, folks will have time to explore nearby history and art museums, or the St. Louis Zoo, which is free. All are invited to dinner provided by board member Chris Geden with River City Foundation.

  • Monday, Oct. 5: Board members and staff head home
