Nation’s Only River Certificate Program Propels 17 Students into River Management, Science and Stewardship Careers

The River Management Society (RMS) has announced 17 recipients of the River Studies and Leadership Certificate (RSLC), a unique program which gives university students the foundation of knowledge and experience required to pursue river-related careers. Each recipient has completed interdisciplinary coursework and a field-based practicum in river-based science, policy, conservation, education and recreation.

Wyoming river adventures just a click away in nation’s top river map

River Management Society announces addition of river data to interactive map, directory 

With a click or a swipe, paddlers and anglers can now “shop” the rivers in Wyoming when planning outdoor excursions. The National Rivers Project (NRP) website www.nationalriversproject.com now features 850 river miles and nearly 120 access points with the recent addition of rivers managed by the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) in Wyoming.

Webinar series: Understanding, Preventing and Addressing Sexual Harassment on Rivers

The A-DASH Collaborative invites river professionals (guides, outfitters, owners, rangers, managers, and others) to its seven-part webinar series designed to help them understand, prevent and address sexual harassment on rivers. The series is designed for both management and team members at any point in the process of addressing sexual harassment and equity in our river offices.

2023 River Management Award Winners

The River Management Society (RMS) congratulates winners of its 2023 River Management Awards, individuals whose achievements and leadership among river professionals inspire us. These honors, open to both members and non-members, represent the highest form of peer appreciation. Nominations are submitted by individuals from the river management community, and the selections are made by the RMS Awards Committee, led by the National Secretary.
