‘Reimagine River Access’ at 2023 River Management Symposium

River Management Society Invites Presenters, Sponsors, Attendees

River professionals are invited to take a deep dive into the physical, economic, and social aspects of river access at the 2023 River Management Society (RMS) Symposium from Feb. 28 - March 2, 2023, in San Antonio, Texas. RMS hosts its Symposium every two years and brings together hundreds of river managers, planners, rangers, scientists, stewards, and students to broaden their professional networks and discover solutions to challenges facing our rivers. With opportunities to attend dozens of presentations and discussions, attendees will leave with the knowledge and skills to more confidently navigate issues on their rivers.

Symposium Logo“For communities to thrive around rivers, visitors must feel welcome and must overcome physical and economic barriers, and this requires a great deal of planning, management and outreach from river managers and stewards,” said Shannon Bassista, 2023 Symposium Chair and Vice President of the River Management Society Board of Directors. “We hope the 2023 Symposium will inspire new solutions to shared river access issues and serve as a catalyst for innovation and partnerships nationwide.”

The theme this year is “Reimagine River Access,” and river professionals are invited to submit proposals for presentations that share innovative strategies, stories of success, and visions for the future of river access by September 30, 2022, on the RMS website.

Outdoor industry manufacturers, watersports retailers and river-focused stewardship organizations have a unique opportunity to reach thousands online and hundreds in person with their brands, products and services as Reimagine River Access sponsors. Several sponsorship levels are available, and benefits include recognition on promotional materials, exhibitor hours and event registration.
